Six months against manufacturing defects

Every Varellune piece carries a six-month warranty against manufacturing defects, counted from delivery. It covers stitching, hardware and structure.

Within those six months, repairs to stitching and hardware are free, and we cover the shipping both ways.

What it does not cover

Normal wear — a bag that has been carried will show it.
Patina and colour change. Vegetable-tanned hide takes a mark and then absorbs it; that is the material behaving as it should, not a fault.
Damage from an accident, misuse, or storage in damp or direct heat.
Work done by someone other than us.
Pieces bought from a seller who is not Varellune.

Your legal rights are not affected

This is a commercial warranty offered in addition to your legal rights. It does not replace or reduce them.

In particular, if you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the statutory guarantee of conformity, which runs for two years from delivery regardless of the length of this commercial warranty. Consumers elsewhere keep whatever rights their own law gives them.

Repairs after the warranty

We repair any Varellune piece, at any age. Stitching, hardware, zips, edge paint and lining are all done by the people who assemble the new pieces. After the first six months you get a quote before anything is touched, and nothing starts until you approve it.

How long a repair takes

Ten to fifteen working days at the bench, plus transit both ways. Hardware that has to be ordered from the foundry adds about a week, and we tell you before you send the piece.

How to make a claim

Write to contact@varellune.com with your order number and photographs of the problem. We tell you within one working day whether it is covered, and send the shipping label if it is.

Replacement straps

Every strap we make is sold on its own, in each leather and length. The strap page lists which bags the hook fits. If you are not sure of the fit, send the model name and we confirm.
