These Terms of Service govern your use of varellune.com and any order you place with Varellune ("Varellune", "we", "us"). By using the store or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the store.

Who can order

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a contract. By ordering you confirm that the payment method is yours or that you are authorised to use it, and that the details you give us are accurate.

Products, photography and availability

Our pieces are made from natural leather. Grain, tone and marking vary from hide to hide, and two bags of the same colour will not be identical. Screens also render colour differently. Photographs and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them, but slight variation is a property of the material, not a defect.

Everything is offered subject to availability. We may change or withdraw a product, or limit the quantity available to one customer, at any time before we accept an order.

Prices, currency and duties

Prices are shown in the currency selected in the top bar of the store, and that is the currency your card is charged in. Prices can change at any time before you order; the price that binds us is the one shown when your order is accepted.

Duties and import taxes are calculated and charged at checkout for the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, so the carrier has nothing left to collect from you on delivery. If a courier asks you for money on delivery, do not pay it — send us the notice at contact@varellune.com and we will settle it.

We correct obvious pricing errors. If a piece is listed at a clearly wrong price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

Orders and when the contract is formed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our order confirmation email acknowledges that we received it; the contract is formed when we dispatch the piece. We may decline an order — for example where a piece is out of stock, where payment cannot be verified, or where we suspect fraud — and we will refund you in full if we do.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Klarna in three instalments is available in most of Europe. Payment is taken through our providers; we never see or store your full card number. Instalment plans are a contract between you and the provider, on their terms.

Delivery

Shipping and delivery are covered by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in a piece passes to you on delivery.

Returns, refunds and cancellation

Returns and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Nothing in these terms reduces that right; our 30-day window is offered on top of it.

Warranty

Our commercial warranty is set out in the Warranty Policy, which forms part of these terms. It is offered in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them. In particular, consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom keep the statutory guarantee of conformity, which runs for two years from delivery and is unaffected by the length of our commercial warranty.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account password secret and for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse, resale at scale, or any breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use the store to break the law, to interfere with how it works, to scrape it at scale, to reverse engineer it, or to send anything harmful, abusive or infringing. We may refuse service, remove content or close an account for any of these.

Content you submit

If you send us reviews, photographs, comments or ideas, you keep ownership of them and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display them in connection with the store and our marketing. You confirm that the content is yours to give and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. We are not obliged to publish anything, and we may remove content that breaches these terms.

Our intellectual property

The Varellune name, logo, product photography, copy, page design and code are ours or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission.

Third-party services

The store relies on third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers and carriers, and may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content or services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you — including consumer rights, which stand whatever these terms say.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Force majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs action, strikes, extreme weather, or failures of infrastructure or third-party services.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Varellune is established, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you may always bring proceedings in the courts of your own country. We would rather solve a problem by email first — write to contact@varellune.com and give us the chance.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on the store when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
